I had a spiritual dream this morning, I saw a man that I know very well here in Winchester, a ordained minister. He was talk preaching to the crowd about 300 people mostly teenagers. But his words were dull and boring. The crowd was not showing any signs if enthusiasm at hearing the words this man was relaying to them, nor even me . I walked up to the crowd and turn my head to the right, and saw a cloud that was about 4 foot off the ground, the cloud parted and I saw a gasoline pump, with the number on the gallon gage 77777 then a voice spoke to me and said, this pump is almost out of fuel, then the voice spoke again, saying when they think I am not coming back, I say I am coming back and speedily.. After looking back at this I know the meaning. The almost empty pump was the man talking to the crowd. And this empty man, did not have the power of God within him to reach the people. This caused me to remember the story of the Chief priest Sceva, and his seven sons. Acts 19:13 Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by THE Jesus whom Paul preaches. 14 Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” 16 Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, over powered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. These men had no power of God in them, they planned to go out powerless and spiritually unprepared to battle evil, and they were whipped, and badly. Matt 17: 17 Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me 18 And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour. 19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” 20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. 21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting. Jesus himself fasted for 40 days and whipped the devil, because He was prepared in advanced for the enemy’s attacks. Matt 4:1-11 What’s sad, is there is a whole lot of TV preachers as well as lay people who talk the walk, but don’t walk the walk. And that can go for us to.
