I had a wonderful and beautiful experience this morning regarding the dog living in the woods. Weve been feeding her inside of a park so that shell stay out of any traffic areas and its worked until this morning..she was in traffic and quite some distance from the park. She knows my voice and vehicle so was able to get her to the side of the road. Other drivers saw what was going on and a few pulled over to help. The object was to get her back safely to her feeding zone. I drove in front of her cuz I knew shed follow. The other drivers literally surrounded her with their vehicles and gave her a 5-10mph escort all the way back to the park and to her safe zone. One of the big trucks even faced oncoming traffic to get people to slow down. She had an impromptu police escort. Watching this in my rearview mirror, calling to her so shed keep following and watching her safely running behind me, seeing how much people care, brought tears to my eyes...NEED a trap desperately for tomorrow morning though before she pulls that stunt again!! have found a very temp foster to check her temperment.
