I had a young lady take exception to a post I made pointing out in her opinion, I was unprofessional and inferring I was lacking in leadership qualities and again in her words hard to take seriously in my role as director. Several followers voiced different opinions in support of the Sanctuary and of me, personally, and I truly appreciated it. The young ladies posts have since disappeared and I just wanted to let you all know I have not censored her or removed her posts so I am not sure what happened. Can you remove your post after you make them on someone elses page? Remember you are dealing with a computer dinosaur here. LOL. I am not in any way mad at this young lady and as I have expressed, I thank God we live in a country where we can express our opinions freely. I try to keep mine kind, as I learned a lesson as a youngster that it is best to keep your word to another as sweet as possible in case you have to eat them at a latter date. I am not always successful with that plan but I do try. I did point out that I probably am not going to change much in my communication style and if someone is offended by my upfront and honest account of my days here that no one is force to follow the page. If I offended her and caused her to feel she had to remove her opinion, for that I apologize as I feel the only censorship should come from our hearts and our understanding of what should be stated to get our points across in as positive a manner as feasible. As far as being taken seriously I will be the first to admit I have a wacky sense of humor and as serious and depressing as parts of my day here are, I try to use humor to help me and others deal with that unfortunate part of running a Sanctuary of this size. Some days if I could not find a way to laugh at the absurd, the unkind, and the annoying I would not make it through with out committing homicide or pet neglectercide ( not a work I know but maybe should be). So if my sarcasm, when faced with a ridiculous situation comes across to biting, not sure how to change that as it is pretty much a part of my coping mechanism in this life I deal with everyday. I hope it is noted that I praise God and thank folks a lot more than I complain about them but as long as the dealings I have here with a few people try my ability to laugh and see the good in their actions, I can not see that changing any time soon. Dinosaur remember.
