I had an amazing experience representing Canada at Miss Globe! I met amazing people from all across the world! I had two amazing roomies: Miss USA Carrissa Lowhorn and Miss England Danielle Latimer. We helped each other and encouraged each other throughout the duration of the competition. After visiting another country, I really learned to appreciate what I have at home in Canada. We take so many things for granted (including Tim Hortons) and never realize how easy we really do have it. I adopted my dog from the Regina Humane Society, so it really tore at my heart seeing all the stray animals running around the streets. I even took the time to sit outside and feed a stray kitten. Although different from Canada, Albania is beautiful! The highlight of my trip was riding on the back of a motorcycle holding the Canadian flag flying down the highway! It was an incredible experience! I also was so happy to have met the Mayor of Shengjin and his son who was born in Toronto! They even came out to final night and came backstage before the competition to get pictures and wish me good luck! As I walked out on stage I was welcomed by cheers from the Mayors table and saw his son waving the program book opened to my page! Even though I may not have won, I still represented my country with pride and showed Albania what a down to earth, small town girl from Saskatchewan is like! Thank you to everyone for the support, you mean the world to me!
