I had an interesting experience today. One of my clients hired me to do some research about procedures followed at a site that offers national standardized testing. I had to have a palm print done on both hands prior to taking the exam and get a mug shot, so that they could be compared with when I reached the computer to take the exam, when I left the room or returned to it from a break. (The breaks were timed. Just as I was re-entering the office, one of the staff was headed out to look for me.) I was supposed to pat myself down in front of the test administrator so she could see that I was not sneaking in any notes or contraband that would help me cheat in the exam.
