I had finished work for Chrismas and it was tidying up now ready for next year but I thought I would pop in one more piece. A small piece and what a piece it has turned out to be. So beautiful I have named her Little Gem. You know when you go for a meal and have one pea left on your plate, you really dont want to eat it but cant leave it, or it will be all on its own, or in a supermarket when their is that one tin so you pop another one next to it, so that its not lonely....well anyhow.. that is the reason I bought this little table. It was left on its own, after buying some other pieces that I liked. A little, plain, PINE table, I had loads of much nicer pine tables so didnt want this one, but couldnt bear it being lonely. (Hope this isnt just me) Not quality enough to go through Ashers Interiors & Design, I was going to pop it on privately to sell, but to my huge surprise, I started to sand it back to find that this little table was not pine, but the most beautiful antique oak, a beautiful rich colour, I started to get just a little excited. I didnt want to touch the top, but still needed to make it work in a modern world, so I have left the top bare and just clear waxed it, I have painted the legs, in what I call a messy stroke, different directions although thicker in some places, mostly I have kept the paint very thin, almost a wash, so that the beautiful grain of the wood can still be seen. The light top with the cream legs, would have blended into each other, so I have left a sliver of the dark stain around the edge, to show contrast and make this piece really unique. I hope you love her as much as I do, Id like to introduce you to the truly stunning Little Gem Dimensions 39 x 18 x 17 high £ 85
