I had hope for America tonight. Maybe I was foolish, but I had some hope. It may have been a rush of naive thinking and or a wave of childlike optimism, but I thought that Michael Browns blood would not be spilled in vain but alas this is not the case. But even more than race is the simple principle of the matter. If a man, a police officer, who is supposed to protect the people can shoot and kill an unarmed child without repercussion, our democracy and our justice system is trash and futile. My Angry, Human Self says: One day, I get to raise my son in a country where he is disposable. I get to tell him how beautiful he is to me, but how ugly he is in the sight of the society I in which I am raising him. I get to teach him not to move too fast when reaching for his wallet or keys. I have to explain to him how dangerous he is when he asks me why some people walk on the opposite side of the street when he comes. But I believe Jesus would say: He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is the Final and Righteous Judge. He has love unconditional for His creation. He has a Master Plan that we cannot understand, but that is right and true. If you believe in the words of prayer, say a prayer for the Brown family. Pray for this country. Pray we do not fall into the claws of hatred and bloodshed, or we will destroy ourselves and each other. Pray. Jesus, keep us all. Keep us from hate and malice. Hold this country together.
