I had just gotten ready to head out for my deliveries for the day when another driver came in and said hey, there are news reports that a plane hit one of the World Trade Center buildings. I got into the truck and left for my first delivery. I turned on KDKA and they were talking about what kind of plane they thought it was. I switched over to Howard Stern right before the 2nd plane hit the south tower. At that point everyone knew that it was a terrorist act. Then the news about an explosion at the Pentagon. The world instantly felt different. Then a report of a plane crash in Somerset county. I was in my truck all day so I could only hear what was going on. It wasnt until I got home and started to watch the days events on TV that the true scope of the devastation sunk in. I weeped when I watched the towers fall. All those innocent souls. All the rescue personnel. Lost in an instant.....
