I had left the doggies in the car while taking care of business in the pharmacy. Returning to the parking lot, I saw a huge crow fly off the hood of my car (or so I thought). Inside the car, Zoe was hunkered down behind the drivers seat and Spencer was shotgun. As I tried to sit down, Spencer pushed over into the drivers seat, smashing my packages, and was determined to exit the car through the drivers door. I remember saying I had never seen him do that and wondered what he was about. I let him out and put him back in through the rear door. The next day, I opened the trunk door to find a lot of black feathers scattered about and in their water bowl. I hugged them close, told them how brave they were, and promised not to leave the windows wide open again.
