I had my first awful parent moment Thursday after work, as I was lifting Logan out of his walker I pulled his G/J feeding tube out. After a mild heart attack and countless phone calls to nurse Jamie & Dr. El-Chammas (his GI dr) who laughed and told me to calm down, it happens just bring him in. Mind you this is an hour and a half drive. But after getting to Mercy and an overnight stay, a 20 min procedure to put a new one in he came home Friday, like nothing even happened. But having a baby at home is hard and scary enough but add in a house full of medical equipment and supplies and weve got our hands full. Many of our friends and even family dont understand when I tell them its hard work, but I wouldnt trade it for the world. But heres an inside look of what our house looks like with all Logis stuff...we have him stationary in our living room because of the machines hes on and because our house is tiny, I can see him and his pulse Ox from our bedroom. We have a basement full of oxygen tanks plus more smaller ones for traveling upstairs.
