I had my first child in December 2001, she was 8#6oz. I had a very late epidural and 3rd degree with an episiotomy also. I developed pre-eclampsia and was in labor for over over 24 hours. I had such a horrible experience that I didnt start trying for another child until 2011 even after I was finally surgically diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis and its sister diseases. Finally pregnant after years of trying and am due in less than a month. I am extremely afraid of labor and birth and plan to go natural and hire a doula if I can afford her. Ive been told repeatedly that the second is much easier than the first and much faster the majority of the time. Has anyone experienced anything similar....like, such a huge time difference in their first and second child and how was labor and delivery in your opinion? Thank you in advance.~Anonymous
