I had my follow up doctors appointment today. I found out that in addition to doing the myotomy to repair the junction in my esophagus that wouldnt relax enough for me to eat properly he also removed a hiatal hernia and even had to tack my stomach in place so it all healed straight and food could pass more easily. Whew! I also got the okay to start moving past a clear liquid diet into full liquids and even some mushy food. All good news though and I dont have to go back for 4 months!
