I had my good buddy, Ronald Henry, out with me this afternoon to put a hurtin on some specks. We fished plastic shrimp 24 under corks in the mouth of a bayou where it enters a bay. The tide was rising and flowing into the bay, and the trout were staging just inside the bay where the water was flowing in from the bayou. By anchoring in the slightly into the bay right in the mouth of the bayou, we were able to rake over the trout with our baits, and just after sunset, we put number 50 in the chest. The fishing remains absolutely phenomenal in the Delacroix marsh and should remain outstanding throughout the rest of the fall and the winter.
