I had no idea keeping bees would lead me down this road, but here I am, teaching myself how to make hives. Ive had lots of help and suggestions from some groups, Ive watched countess YouTube videos, downloaded various plans, worked around having only the minimal equipment, and Im loving it. Of course I wish we had a shop with fabulous saws and such, but Im making do, and using scrap and reclaimed wood. I havent actually finished one yet, lol. I want to cut all the parts, screened bottom board, hive body, inner and outer cover, then start assembling. I have two little children so my time is limited, I see posts of beeks with their hives stacked up in the dozens and hundreds and instead of being discouraged, Im inspired. Thanks to all those who have contributed!
