I had recieved a bit of an alarming phone call today from the school psychologist, He had mentioned about wanting to run more test on my daughter(she has already had speech therapy testing, and motor skills testing) and has come to the conclusion that she does need some extra help in those areas but the school psychologist mentioned about Academic(reading, writing,Math) and social skills. My daughter has a slight speech delay, and is very shy and very sensitive. When I confronted him and asked him I want to know exactly what your concerned about? and Exactly what you think you need to test her on? He stuttered for a little bit and then pretty much asked me Her teacher didnt discuss her concernes with you and I told him NO nothing besides her speech and some motor skills. He mentioned that she is kind of slow putting on and zipping up her jacket(It shouldnt matter how fast they can do it as long as they can!!) and he mentioned that he was looking out for her to make sure that she was hitting the standards of the educational Cirriculum. And wanted to make sure she was recieving the BEST Education. Now is it just me or does this sound fishy!!!By The way my daughter is in KINDERGARTEN.
