I had someone ask me why Im so politically minded. Every single day in my job I get phone calls from American citizens who are unemployed, homeless and feel hopeless. I cant help but have a passion about this. If I didnt...I wouldnt have a heart. I keep saying that 100% of our elected officials should have to volunteer for one week in a homeless shelter, food bank, Salvation Army etc. No cameras allowed, no advance notice as to where they will serve. Let them take 1 weeks worth of phone calls trying to help these people find solutions. Ive recently even helped a homeless veteran family. My heart absolutely BREAKS when I have grown men stand before me with their families beside them with tears in their eyes asking me...where else can I go for help? What else can I do? Ill do anything for work. And yet...our President wants to spend $3.7 BILLION on illegal immigrants. I cant feed my next door neighbor and deny my family their needs I would be charged with neglect. I charge every single one of our elected officials with neglect in caring for our citizens in need. Charity...begins at home.
