I had someone congratulate me on my upcoming retirement; I said thank you; then he said, when you get that 1st retirement check youre going to wish you would have stayed in I said God will provide! Over the years, I have come to realize that God is my source and the military was just a resource; God has kept me and my family for the past 23years, He has never allowed us to go hungry, without food or shelter; so why would I start to worry now just because Im retiring? I stand firm on Jeremiah 29:11-God already had a plan for me long before I even knew who He was; He knew that I would retire this year so He has already made provision for me and my family. I didnt plan to retire this year, but God knows whats best for me and I trust Him with my whole heart; frustration and stress comes when we dont listen to the voice of God; if I were to stay in after God has clearly told me its time to move on, I would be miserable! I dont want to delay what God has for me; the last 23+yrs in the Army has been wonderful but I know that my best years are ahead of me; so Im not worried about where we live or what the next job will be; Im just excited to walk into the next chapter knowing that the best is still yet to come! #WalkingByFaith
