I had something on my mind since I read it in the paper couple weeks ago. The Massillon City Schools are going to knock down the old Bowers Elementary school. From what I understand it has been vandalized and ruined why has that school not been checked on? Why is that school being torn down 45 years old ? Cant that school be used for something else by the system or by the city as such a nice building? Also why if they knock it down and leave it just a bare lot they do not sell it? Why arent they selling these empty lots where these schools are being torn down used for school funding instead of sitting on empty lots and sitting on money that could be used? York School has an empty lot Emerson has an empty lot Longfellow had an empty lot but I know the Salvation Armys on part of it did they sell the whole lot or just a portion of it? Does anybody have any answers? I do feel bad though for the neighbors who live around that school during this time when it is being vandalized. Is there any other input out there or ideas from anybody out there I sure would love to hear them on this!!
