I had something that I think is pretty strange happen. It started - TopicsExpress

I had something that I think is pretty strange happen. It started out as a normal day really. I got to school and as normal clocked in, put my lunch box in the refrigerator, and made me a cup of coffee to start my day. I then went on to my morning duty spot to direct student traffic in the hall. Nothing really unusual or different to speak about happened-unless you count that one student that loves to show me his dance moves in the morning! He always makes me smile. I then went on to start teaching my classes. After about 30 minutes into my first connection block I remember that I brought crickets for our pet gecko, Leo and forgot them in the car. I was consumed with worry about them for whatever reason. I knew that I couldnt go get them and I knew that it was too cold for them to live in my car for very long. I continued teaching through four classes until my planning period and then quickly went out into the cold to retrieve these cold, dead, crickets. I was right. All the crickets had died and were all lying on top of each other lifeless. My heart felt sad because I knew I caused them to die. Crazy thinking because they would have died as Leo enjoyed them for breakfast but I still felt sad. I continued about my day, went to do lunch duty, ate lunch myself and got ready for my kindergarteners. I somehow forgot about the crickets. When I was reading to them during reading time one of my cuties says Ms. Carrie, are we going to get to feed Leo today? She was so excited.... Oh no, I thought to myself, they have spotted the crickets I killed in the cold car. I continued to tell my students that we were going to feed Leo but I accidentally left the crickets in the car and they all died. She then looked at me and said well they must have arose from the grave like Jesus! They are alive Ms. Carrie! They are alive! It is a Thanksgiving miracle! Now we can feed Leo. I was just about to tell her that the crickets were indeed dead and would not come back to life as I turned around and saw they were all moving around in my cricket bucket! They were alive!!! We were amazed. I love how God speaks to me through my children! Thank you Father for your gentle reminder that you arose from the grave and are alive and well. I will forever praise your name.
