I had such a neat moment the other day. I was jamming on my guitar in between shows in an empty gymnasium when a young boy peeked in during recess break drawn to the music. I invited him up on stage and asked if likes to sing. He grinned shyly and said yes, but not in public. I told him that its just him and I, and that he could use my microphone for any song he wanted. He chose Justin Biebers Baby. I started playing the song on guitar and he soon jumped in knowing every single lyric. His voice grew in confidence as he heard it reverberate throughout the gym from the loudspeakers. I then jumped on the mic to duet with him during the chorus. We were both smiling and laughing while singing together and made rock star faces during those crazy Bieber high notes. You could tell the he was suddenly beaming with confidence. Right then a teacher walked in and asked him why he wasnt outside. I told him thanks for helping me with my sound check, gave him a wink, and he was on his way. I love music so much and couldnt imagine my life if I wasnt introduced to it at a young age :)
