I had such an emotional weekend. I traveled on Saturday, to stand - TopicsExpress

I had such an emotional weekend. I traveled on Saturday, to stand with a friend of many years, to bury her son, that died unexpectedly. He was a young man, still in his thirties. It is not the natural order for a parent to bury a child, to say the least, she is hurting. I can not begin to imagine her pain. At the service, what I remembered the most was the celebration of his life. Her son worked with children, and it was so touching to hear these young people talk of the positive impact he made in their lives. How many of us can say we live in a way to be a positive influence in others? As I listened I learned it was not just major things he did, but small things like praying for them, giving an encouraging word, a much needed hug or just a smile. He accomplished so much in the short time he was here. I also learned he was saved and loved The Lord. Yes, there were tears, but there was also a celebration. I pray my friend find comfort in the positive impact he made in so many lives, and will continue to do because there is a foundation set up in his honor. What a legacy. Today, I went to worship with my close friends; Pastor Hise Austin and Pastor Greta Austin. I was invited and I gave my word I would attend. The speaker of the hour was another close friend Pastor Sandra Randle. Their was a testimony of deliverance from stage four cancer, without any recommended treatment, only by faith in God. Wait, please reread and let it sink in. Stage four cancer without any treatments, now CANCER FREE. What a powerful testimony. When you see the miracles God performs in others, it is so encouraging because you know He can do the same for you, regardless of the concerns. And then my friend Pastor Randle preached on the Word of how God is so Awesome. What a service. What a weekend.
