I had such an interesting dream last night, well this morning, and it proved that sounds influence your dreams. A group of people, all part of the LGBT community, were trying to flee a city that was killing LGBT people. The character that I saw things through found a hiding spot and so him and about 4 friends hid there, but their pursuers found them. One of the pursuers pulled out his gun and was about to shoot when one of the friends pulled out a sword and sliced half their head off and told the others to run and was then shot in the chest. Then the first lines of The Promise by Globus started playing and it set the tone so well. Seeing a friend give his life to protect the ones he loved in hopes they could live, the song just seemed to resonate through the world and filled the air with so much emotion. Thats when I woke up and that was the song playing on my iHomes alarm. Did the dream turn out to get so emotional because of the song? I dont know. But thanks to it that dream has left a mark on me and I hope Ill never forget that dream. A lot of times I am not present in my dreams, but a representation of myself is. Same goes for my friends in the dream. I could figure out who some of them were, but others I couldnt. Thats why this dream makes me feel so blessed to have the friends I do. Ones who are supportive of who I am and what I do and who will do anything to make sure the life I live will be long and beautiful, even if it costs their lives. youtu.be/DyREJ9PpD7M
