I had the hardest time in all of my math classes throughout school - TopicsExpress

I had the hardest time in all of my math classes throughout school because I would focus too much on the formulas, and not why we calculate this and that. Any time I got a question on a test that deviated from what I memorized, I was completely lost. You have to understand the concepts before you throw your submissions around. I feel incredibly fortunate that I have an instructor in Scott Einstein Epstein who not only understands the concepts thoroughly from years of experience, but also breaks it down for every one of his students step-by-step. If youre in an academy where they dont teach the why behind jiu jitsu techniques and focus on rote memorization and unfocused drilling, find a new academy. Also, yes Im an Asian who cant do math. :(
