I had the honor and privilege of attending the 1963 March on Washington with my father, Paul Hill, Sr. I was a junior, John Adams High School, Cleveland, Ohio. In 1964, my father also took me as a Senior in high school to hear Malik El Shabazz (Malcolm) to hear speak. His speech was Ballot and Bullets. I plan to attend the 50th Anniversary March in Washington, August, 2013, with my grandchildren. It is important as parents and grandparents to participate in activities and events with children and youth that speak to the struggles and strategies for freedom and liberation of the past and present.
