I had the occasion to preview the screening of an amazing and informative new documentary soon to be released next month COWSPIRACY. It is loaded with hard statistical facts and common sense commentary that will challenge your addiction to carnivorous, dairy, egg and yes even fish consumption and the incessant need to continue to support animal agriculture as a source for protein and as an edible delectable at the expense of the environment even more so than global warming. It takes the bold position and makes the blazing point of how some of the leading environmentalist groups (including Al Gore and his Inconvenient Truth) are hypocrites and are outright afraid to confront the meat industrial complex about their exorbitant use of the Earths water and land and polluting its atmospheric air with methane greenhouse gas. All the while attempting to lecture humans on how to save the planet through our routine usage of the Earths resources-which is comparatively minimal-while animal agriculture is by far the LARGEST consumer and exploiter of her resources in order to provide slaughtered animals for consumption. It is an intriguing exposé to say the least. A must see for all who habitually eat animals, fowl and fish and particularly for those who claim to be environmentalists and express concern about this planet as a sustainable residence for us to reside upon.
