I had the pleasure of looking at the mineral specimen display at the Queensland Museum in Brisbane. A beautiful selection of crystal specimens and, notably, a huge contribution from localities around Australia. Its not a big display, being 4 cabinets. However, it has the privelege on being on a small floor by itself, so there is no fear of being distracted by pottery, stuffed animals etc. The collection is a credit to Tony Forsayth and the Queensland Mineralogical Society. Do yourselves a favour and go and see it if you are in the vicinity.
