I had the pleasure of spending a wonderful day in Nairobi, Kenya with some of Africas finest women leaders: Mama Gertrude Mongella, Betty Bigombe, Phoebe Asiyo and Prof. Wanjiku Kabira. We spent the morning strategizing on how we can journey with our sisters of Southern Sudan. Sitting in their presence felt like sitting under the big tree of wisdom. I absorbed and took in their every word. From the parables to the quotes about power to the stories about their experiences, it was a wonderful day of learning and reflecting again on the essence of my calling. This is a journey that I am grateful God granted me the opportunity to take. I am also grateful that I got to engage with some of the activists from Southern Sudan. I know by Gods grace that this will be a good year of hard work.
