I had the priviledge to be in a funeral procession today, escorted - TopicsExpress

I had the priviledge to be in a funeral procession today, escorted by the Patriot Guard Riders. One of our church members was laid to rest in the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, OK. From the time we left Owens & Brumley in WF, until we pulled in the cemetery gates, only one car passed us! The couple of times we were actually on I-44, two vehicles obviously recognized the procession for what it was and actually slowed down, driving along side, but behind the guards, blocking passing traffic, until we exited the interstate. Those drivers will never see this, but I just want to say thank you to those gentlemen, the ones who pulled off the road to stop while we passed, some even getting out of their cars & removing their hats; and a special word of gratitude to the Patriot Guard Riders who coordinated the ride, and the men & women who serve in our armed forces. HOW PROUD I AM TO BE AN AMERICAN!
