I had the privilege in sitting down with a brother in Christ last night. He is new to the faith. His testimony is amazing. Not that he was an evil lawbreaker previously and now has repented, no he was actually your typical family guy who was completely transformed by the power of the gospel. He was previously witnessed to on several occasions but one night he had the desire to read Gods Word, for no other reason than the Holy Spirits drawing, and it was then that God took out his heart of stone and gave him a heart of flesh. Now he desires to live holy unto Jesus Christ. His heart has been completely changed away from the world and now is focused on Christ, his family and those who also need salvation. This reminded me of the conversion of the church at Thessalonica. 1 Thessalonians 1:4 For we know, brothers[fn] loved by God, that he has chosen you, 5 because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction. You know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake. 6 And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you received the word in much affliction, with the joy of the Holy Spirit, 7 so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia.
