I had the privilege of attending several Memorial Day events across Clark County yesterday. It was my honor to speak the 49th Annual Memorial Day Service under the direction of American Legion Post #8. Continued on to another service in Henderson where I met Jack Pursel, a WWII bomber pilot in the pacific theater. We completed our day in Boulder City at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery where Brian Sandoval delivered remarks and I met Bertha Hales, a Gold Star Wife. It was truly my honor to attend these services and pay my respect to the servicemen and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in order to preserve and protect our freedom.
