I had the privilege of seeing a sneak peek version today of Last Man on the Moon , a truly outstanding film based on the life of Gene Cernan. It was previewed at a conference I attended last week, but my schedule was insanely busy, so I only got to see abut 40 minutes of there, now that I have seen the whole film, its a masterpiece...an absolute masterpiece... How it deals with so many aspects of Genes life is beautifully done. Sensitive and thought provoking. It features some exceptional archive work done by Stephen Slater , and images which I had never ever seen before, so a huge credit goes to the production team for delivering something so unique, it demands to be seen. People cite Ron Howards work Shadow of the Moon as one of the best films ever made on this subject. I now think genuinely that this one rivals it, albeit just on one man, that one man is so enigmatic in his own right, he carries the film easily. The team behind this have a facebook page at facebook/thelastmanonthemoon The film trailer can be seen at https://vimeo/92046183 And if you want to see the film in all its glory then tickets for Sheffield (UK) are at showroomworkstation.org.uk/thelastmanonthemoonqa I heartily suggest joining/liking that FB page, and watching this film...
