I had the unusual opportunity to watch t.v tonight. I watched a show I used to be hooked on Parenthood, The ending song was Glen Hansards - Song Of Good Hope. It brought back some memories for me... I was privileged to sing and perform this song as a solo to the ending of The Yellow Boat a play about Benjamin Saar a boy who was born with hemophilia and died young. I had to stomach singing this song at the end of the most moving play about his life. I have to admit it was one of the most challenging performances of my life but one of the best. It was a play written by Benjamin Saars father. and he was actually there during one of the performances without me knowing it. It was truly an amazing thing to be a part of. I was absolutely honored to know he texted our director to say he really enjoyed the music. I never know what each opportunity might bring or how it might affect someone. but Im glad and so thankful to be doing what I really love...music. youtube/watch?v=uDGGAC10mtc
