I had the worst experience I have ever had with a vet at the Snoqualmie Ridge Vet hospital! I recently moved to the Snoqualmie Valley area and took my dogs to see Dr. Nadell for a routine wellness checkup. The first visit went okay other than the up selling of extra blood work to get flea medicine and Dr. Nadells slight ackward social manner. Also I noticed the fees compared to my old vets in Bothell were sigificantly higher on the vaccines, about $20.00 more per vaccine which ended up costing about $200 more for both my dogs together. At the inital visit Dr. Nadell recommened that one of my dogs have her teeth cleaned. She is 5 years old and our previous vet had not thought she was due for one yet, but that was last year so I thought that seemed reasonable and brought her in for a teeth cleaning. I was told the cleaning would cost $225.00, but went out paying $659 and being completely sick and horrified because Dr. Nadell extracted 10 of my dogs teeth! We demanded taking the teeth with us and found that only 3-4 of the teeth looked like they could have possibly needed to come out. Most of the teeth he removed were anteriors and white and healthy looking all they way down to the root tips. I called my prevoius vets office crying and in shock and they told me she had no issues with her teeth the previous year. My husband told Dr. Nadell he wasnt willing to pay for the extractions since there had been no discussion with us about taking any of our dogs teeth out prior to them being cleaned and Dr. Nadell stated that he would not give us our dog back then! So we called the police for assistance, the cop was also shocked by how white and healthy the extracted teeth looked and took our side. Unfortunatey, we still had to pay because I had flippedly signed off on one of Dr. Nadells legal forms that I thought was standard and did not read it fully, my fault. Dr. Nadell flashed that form proudly as it legally gave him the right to over treat my dog and make me pay for it. This vet is barbaric in my opinion and I would never recommend him or his clinic. Stay away, my dogs life will never be the same after having about a 1/3 of her teeth removed in her young stage of life.
