I had to go to Pet Sense for dog food a bit ago. When i get inside there is a man (who looked like he had been thru the ringer) there asking the sales clerks if they knew where roosevelt street was. I was standing there and i could tell this guy was really super upset about something. So i spoke up and said yes i know where roosevelt street is. well, i totally knew where he was heading. The cemetery and the funeral home are on roosevelt street. So I asked him if he was looking for the funeral home. He damn near started crying and said well, im looking for petland. my dog died last night and Im from Everett and im so upset that i left my cell phone with the directions at my house. i said well, its your lucky day cuz i used to work for the funeral home and i can take you there to petland if you want? he looked so surprised and just about started crying. he said are you serious right now? you will help me? oh my god THANK YOU SO SO MUCH! i said sure! no problem! he was so worried that it was gonna be totally out of my way and i said nawwww its just up over the hill no biggie. he said well i just want you to know, i have my dog out in the car on the passenger side, i dont want to scare ya i said sir, it doesnt bother me at all, i used to be a funeral director and embalmer, i have literally seen it all, its not a problem he carried my dog food for me while i rang up and out to my truck and put it in my truck and we were off. He followed me all the way out to the cemetary and i led him right to the front office of petland, gave him the ladys name who worked there and told him to tell her that Sara Godfrey brought ya here. He was so so gracious and gave me a huge hug and even wanted to pay me $50 for leading him there, and i told him no way, you have been thru enough in the last 24 hrs, its my pleasure. He then said that i have completely changed his tune on people and how people help other people. He said it was God that brought me to him to help him. He said he was beside himself and had no idea how he was gonna get his baby to Petland. Made me feel good.
