I had to put my cat, Beautiful down on June 7th of this year. While dealing with her passing, my chocolate lab, Sarah, became sick after taking the Nexguard internal flea and tick pill. Rare serious side effects include lethargy and anorexia. My Sarah became severely lethargic and anorexic. She lost 20 pounds despite being spoon fed everyday. Numerous visits to the vet and hospital concluded in a sprained back, but they couldnt figure out what else was wrong with her. She began vomiting, no longer able to keep anything down, and began internally bleeding. We let her outside yesterday to relax and when we lifted her tail, blood was trickling down her fur and onto the cement. My family and I decided the best thing we could do for Sarah was to end this misery....so one last trip to the vet ended this pain and suffering. We discovered the man that could cremate her was out til Tuesday. So we brought her home to be buried. All of our hearts are broken....losing 2 pets in a 2.5 month span is devastating. My Sarah brought so much love into our lives. She had just turned 6 in july, so friends, please beware the nexguard pill....if Sarah hadnt taken it, she could very well still be here. :( Rest In heaven baby girl.
