I had to sit with the youth when a Democrat organizer was pumping Obamas biography. The speaker was a real hippy, a radical who had been an antiwar activist. He concluded the best thing 2do today is support the DNC. I was and still am struggling with the comprehension of the audacity of the unknowing, even if red diapered that the person when hearing the word deportation does not exhibit aversion much less terror to think of ICE breaking into homes, throwing parents into vans, sending kids to foster, not granting trials to accused criminals, casting out college students, etc etc . What kind of historical memory exists even among the concerned?
