I had to watch this a few times to wrap my head around it. My decision... I love it. I dont actually like the choreography, but the concept, atmosphere, and Shia LaBeoufs performance are awesome. I find myself talking a lot these days about how dancers and choreography can sometimes get too focused on the steps for my taste, and we lose the human sense of the performers. It creates a disconnect and makes it hard for the audience to feel fully engaged because they dont feel personally immersed in it. Shias performance is incredible, and he is the reason I love this video. His performance does have some choreographed movement vocabulary, but the humanity present in his work suggests a primal instinct for the movement, like when humans didnt yet have spoken language and had to communicate through body language instead. This gives each little tremor a purpose, it draws us in, and in just 5 minutes Shia has taken the audience on an entire journey. Brilliant. https://youtube/watch?v=KWZGAExj-es
