I had to write a poem in school about Where I am from and I figure - TopicsExpress

I had to write a poem in school about Where I am from and I figure that I would share with you all. I am from a group that still believes in the old ways. I believe in honor, hard work, selfless service, and the American way. I am from many places, but where I lay my head is where I call home. I am from the rain forests of North America to the hot sands on the other side of the world. I am in conflict between two different worlds that are always at battle like night and day. I am from a big family, while calling another my brothers and sisters. I believe in Patriotism and proudly display it where ever I go. I am from faith, love, Religion, family, friends. I am from the days of green to the days of digital. I am from traditions that are slowly fading away. I have seen plenty of deaths in my life time, while seeing life that comes from death. I have fallen and yet I always find a way to pick myself back up. I am a role model to my family while at the same time trying to prove to myself that I can do it! I am from a time where practice makes perfect, like learning how to crawl before you can run. I am from the forest that surround me while I am camping, to the steel that surrounds me like a metal box. I am from a past that I wish I could forget, but it has also made me who I am today. I have joined the ranks of the few to have my name etched with so many into a Holiday.
