I had to write this before I left UK…. I still remember the day when I went to the client site for the first time… It was a weird feeling filled with both excitement and a feeling of anxiety. I didnt know whom to meet or what to do as I was new and I went alone to an alien place to meet unfamiliar people, (who would later become family away from home) whom I only had a conversation over the phone. I had only one phone number with me Phil Squires the man who almost knew everything about the system a mentor from offshore. When I gave him a call, he picked the call and in a sweet voice told me that he would come and let me in to the office. He brought alone a young lady who had a unfettering smile on her face. I thought that this lady is some new joinee into the company and has been working under Phil. Don’t know the reason why, but as soon as I saw her, I found a sister in her, may be that’s what intuition is all about. She was sweet, fun and lovely to begin with. The conversation with both Phil and this young lady really made me realize that there is nothing to be afraid and they pushed me into a comfort zone which I continue till this date. Now when I am leaving UK, one thing which I am proud of is not my achievements… But the people whom I have made friends and the people I could make happy. Thank you Phil and Jackie Batchelar for making me the person I am today. And most importantly thank you Jackie for being a sister I never had…. You are really a sister I would have wanted to have all my life and now I curse myself for not having a sister like you all my life. But better late than never thanks for being a wonderful sister!!! I will miss you
