I had today to relax and reflect. Holidays in general can be a blessing and can be sad. I am changing my thoughts. On the past I would have most likely been a bit sad today. I have been working on programming myself. It does work. I will refer back to college how I used it. I admit I hated studying for tests. I found a way to get all a grades. I used my behavior modification class lessons to come up with a plan. I read the questions and answers into a tape recorder. I then had it play all night while I slept. I did this for 3 to 5 days. When it came time to take the test the answers came to me. I was the guy who ruined the curve in class. I could write almost to the word the answers. Ok so how does this work in real life? I will not put out prior thoughts as it just reinforces them. My new thoughts are of a positive nature. The old thoughts fight hard to say that is BS. I say yes I acknowledged you old thoughts but you dont help me now and soon will have no use. I plan on taping goals and positive things and doing like I did in college. It is a process. Took me years to build negative thoughts and it will take years before I am devoid of them ( for the most part). I have seen a change. I stand up for myself but in a controlled way. I am still nice but it feels more of me and less from guilt. I am getting more work. I also admit it has been hard. I have upset others because I am changing and finding a middle ground is not easy in the beginning. My challenge is for you to at least find one thing in your life you would like to change and insted of making a lame New Years resolution that fades Truely focus. Meditate a few minutes before the day starts and before sleep. It cant hurt to try. I would normally say I am sorry for long post but the new me doesnt apologize unless my intent was not of a positive motive. Merry Christmas again to everyone and happy new year.
