I hadnt originally planned to bring Zee with us to our Halloween parade today, but she absolutely refuses to leave my side, so we dug up a pumpkin costume and invited her to come along. When I imagine what her life was like just yesterday, somehow I think its safe to say that she couldnt have imagined in a million years that today shed be dressed as a pumpkin, giving kisses to anyone and everyone who stopped to say hello. Her tail wouldnt stop wagging. She greeted each person and each dog with equal enthusiasm. This girl THRIVES on attention. For her, neglect would be the worst kind of torture. I worried that taking her out today might be too much for her, but she seemed to soak up every single minute as though she thought this might be her only chance. Little does she know, this is just the beginning. By the way, Ruby took 2nd place in her skeleton costume; not because her costume was all that great, but because she nailed her play-dead trick while wearing it for the judges. ;-) Oh, and I threw in that last picture because I cant even stand how cute Zee is in the car. She insists on resting her head over my shoulder every time. It melts me.
