I hadn’t been to the eating disorder centre to be weighed for five weeks due to car trouble and conflicting appointment times. I went today and I have gained a couple of pounds in that time lapse. It’s kind of a big deal considering the fact I was so sick all last week with the cold/flu and then stomach bug on top of it all. This is a real turn around for a change and goes to show me that I am working a whole lot harder on recovery than I give myself any credit for, because I would normally have lost weight after being so sick. My disease is of course giving me a really hard time of it and doing everything in it’s wicked power to get me feeling bad and down about my weight gain, and my immediate reaction is to start restricting because weight gain in the world of anorexia is never a good thing in it’s eyes. Whenever I got home this evening and got around all my wide variety of special precious babies all happy healthy and thriving, I was quickly reminded what I am doing this for and went ahead and ate my dinner while Precious, Teeny and Billy ate theirs. Neo loves his veggies and was happy to help out! And so the story goes…
