I hate facebook! Because you cant leave it. Its become a part of our social being, and its ridiculous. I figured Id at least last Two Weeks and I didnt even last two days. Oh well. I was sick today and watched the movie High Fidelity. It was the first time I watched it, and it wasnt bad. It sure highlights how most people dont know what they are looking for in love and in a relationship, how its mostly an individual thing. We need a boyfriend/girlfriend to make us feel better about ourselves, or to look good in front of others. Or the worst...we need a boyfriend/girlfriend to do things for us! To make us feel special, or buy us things, or make us feel beautiful, or whatever. Remember happiness and love comes from within, you cant depend on someone else for that. You want to find someone who encourages your happiness and love, not creates it. How bout finding a boyfriend/girlfriend that gets you closer to the divine? 2 beings who give up their egos to form a higher union together. That sounds good to me. But I must admit I dont know much about love or relationships... Also, at the beginning of the movie, the main character asks...Do we listen to pop music because were miserable? Or are we miserable because we listen to pop music?? Its an interesting question. I for one feed my mind with music that enhances my being, makes me feel better. I consciously say, I need a pick me up, wheres that great Animal Collective song I heard the other day??. I dont hear a song on the radio and say, Thats how I feel!...after I hear it. It would change my perception/attitude because of something outside of me. Does that make sense? Didnt think so.
