I hate it when cons are like sorry, we cant give you an artist booth, but you can get a dealers one instead UM, Im an artist. I am not making thousands of dollars on my art per con. I can cover the cost of an artist booth/badge with sales, but a vendors booth is generally 2-3 times the cost, I doubt Id make that back. Plus, artists tend to do horrible when paired against vendors...since when youre browsing Artist Alley, you are looking for art, whereas in the dealers room you are looking for legit merchandise (of course, I know some who do fine in dealers room but I am not ready to take that leap) If there ever comes a day I am making enough money to support myself just through art sales, then SURE. Ill try a dealers table
