I hate it when headlines are sensationalized to make me and friends of mine seem reactionary by attaching us to a small group of whiners. Coke commercial has conservatives pulling their hair out! or See how Michael Sam has tea party sympathizers flipping out... Its dishonest, its insulting, and its inflammatory. Likewise, my conservative friends, please stop lumping liberals, democrats, and others on the left into headlines that makes them seem like whiny kindergarten students. Its not true. Theyre rational, deep thinking, and have real convictions. There are selfish, ignorant people who claim attachment to both parties. Its convenient to pick on them. The fastest way to get the majority of either party to ignore you, is to treat them like the crazy fringe. Honest, mature dialog is the precursor to effective, long term understanding. Reactionary mockery is the farthest thing from helpful. //endrant
