I hate shopping on a late Friday afternoon, even worse on Good Friday late afternoon. I did not have a big order, but I did have items that were big......whole ham, full sheet birthday cake, lots of cheese, rolls and a few odds and ends. I went through the whole check-out at Smiths, went to pay and realized I didnt have my wallet. Duh. Id taken it out when I ordered Easter flowers for my Godmother in Wisconsin. Came back home through Friday night traffic, o.k., as bad as it gets in Elko. I was home in 7 minutes, so I guess I really cant complain. Mike took pity on me and drove me back to the store and patiently waited while I went in and paid for my groceries. Then took a look at the total and realized they hadnt charged me for the birthday cake. At least I was still at the check out and that was instantly corrected. If someone in Elko started a grocery delivery service I think I would be the first to sign up......:-)
