I hate that sleep is so hard to achieve.... my mind is running through the years like a home movie.... forward rewind forward rewind then slows to a scene as if I picked the channel.... I used to joke that from the minute u were born you cried and didnt stop until.... WELL .... NEVER.... really. Ha ha ha... many times over the years I would look at you and think how in the hell did you become such a good person who cared about everyone even people u didnt know?? I cant count the times you fed someone on the street... or how the year we were struggling financially and couldnt afford a Christmas tree but you brought one home on Christmas eve, the joy I saw on your face when you said. .. Here Ma you have to have a tree to decorate I know its your favorite. My heart swelled with pride at your generosity because I knew that was your very first paycheck at your new job and It wasnt but maybe 3 days of work, yet on Christmas morning everyone in the house had a gift from you. .. how u did it, i dont know, but why u did it...that I know, that was just who you were... you made me proud to be your mother and Im the luckiest mom in the world because even though I only had you for a short time, Your LIFE WAS WORTH EVERY TEAR IVE SHED, EVERY SLEEPLESS NIGHT, ALL THE BAD DREAMS, EVEN THE HOLLOW FEELING IN MY CHEST THAT SEEMS TO GROW WITH EVERY BEAT OF MY BROKEN HEART...Abraham Palacio Jr. Blessed be. .
