I hate that we have a debate every four years as to whether Americans care about soccer and if theyll watch the World Cup. Soccer has been a part of my life since I was young, but my love of the game is only a small factor of why I watch this tournament. I LOVE my country. I wasnt born with enough talent to don the Red, White and Blue and represent the Nation that I love, but nothing gets my juices flowing like cheering on the USA. Listening to the fans in the streets of Chicago and New York and Kansas City scream I Believe That WE Will Win gives me goose bumps every time, and I cannot wait to root them on again tomorrow. This is an opportunity for the 23 men representing our country to prove to the world that they have the talent and passion for the game just like the big boys in Brazil, Germany and Argentina. Winning this tournament would be equivalent to the Miracle on Ice in my mind. Nothing would make me happier than hoisting the trophy, but I will be there whether we win or lose, and yes I BELIEVE THAT WE WILL WIN!
