I hate to say it, but good. It is unconstitutional regardless of the claimed intent. It is also criminalizing mental illness by claiming to be a diagnosis that doesnt exist. It further undermines our justice system being put in place by congress and then, claiming that the person can not be released until he is treated. As the illness doesnt exist, no treatment does either. Also, the reason that some of them did not pay for lawyers is unlike criminals, the mentally ill are not provided with attorneys for a second commitment hearing.
