I hate to say this but I am sick of the Hebrew Roots destroying marriages with their pagan police. I am gonna lay it out on the line here and I will anger some of you and I will simply say grow up. What is the greatest mitzvos of the torah? Mashyach said it is ahavah (love). This is also shown in the book of Nunbers where God allows his 4 letter name to be erased to end marital strife. Now, I know some of you will delete me for this because you dont want to hear it. But I listened to a little blurb from a Hebrew Roots teacher that wanted to give me a Rood Awakening and this guy uses little words saying that people celebrate Halloween. And that it is a religious practice to them and they are teaching their children to go the way of other gods. But at the same time when everything this guy teaches is about as he puts it exposing paganism he also in the same breathe says to not teach people about other gods. Fact is my girlfriend and her children do Halloween, they do not celebrate it as though t some sort of religious thing as the Hebrew rooters like to make you think people do. She is NOT teaching her children to go the way of pagan gods by allowing them to dress up like a fireman or a chef and getting candy. That ideal that by them doing this, they are engaging in a religious practice is ridiculous. Have I done Halloween since becoming Torah observant? No I have not, I was asked by her if I would go with her and the kids several weeks ago to get candy at first I pushed away from that and said no, but then after thinking about it and the concept of shalom, and how shalom is the greatest of all mitzvos, I quickly changed my mind and said yes dear, if you want me to I will because applying Torah is done through the way you do things and the shalom that comes from you as opposed to loading a gun with bullets at other people. I am sick of the over sensationalizing of things in the Hebrew roots and people making statements about others and their children when they are doing no such thing.
